Shayla Goodell started working for Siegmund Excavation in May of 2015. She was originally hired to assist with data entry, but her job duties and role in the company quickly evolved. These days, Shayla oversees employee timekeeping, administers our fleet tracking applications, and manages all safety and compliance records for the Siegmund Group of companies.
Shayla was raised in Mill City, and as a young girl she enjoyed acting, hunting, and playing softball. While still in school, Shayla worked seasonally as a Park Ranger. After graduating from Santiam High School and the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), Shayla took office jobs in Albany, Corvallis and Salem. The opportunity to work back in the Canyon, in an industry that is close to her roots was too appealing to pass up! The fact that Siegmund is a growing company that supports and sponsors many youth sports and local community events made her decision that much easier.
Today, Shayla lives on a farm outside of Scio. She loves attending concerts and theatre performances, spending time with friends and family along the creek or around a campfire, attempting new recipes found on Pinterest, and going on adventures with her man, Aaron Wainman and their 8-month old black lab, Olive.
