Shawn Parks spends his days behind the wheel of a big red Kenworth hauling logs for Siegmund Excavation & Construction’s logging side. Shawn has worked in the woods in some capacity since high school. He logged for Timber Harvesting, Inc. for several years, then moved to driving log truck, before coming to work for Siegmund in the spring of 2017.
Growing up, Shawn enjoyed camping trips with his family and being outdoors. He spent a lot of time hunting deer and elk with family and friends in the Cascade Mountains, as well as in northeast Oregon. Shawn also loved fishing with his dad and friends. In fact, steelhead fishing on the Santiam River is still one of his favorite ways to spend time during the spring and summer. During the fall and winter, Shawn can be found out in the woods with his seven hound dogs, including two puppies. He still enjoys hunting and just being outdoors. When he’s not hunting, or sometimes even when he is, Shawn spends time with friends and with his wife, Lauren. The couple is expecting their first baby, a boy, this coming February.
